Epstein: Bill Breaks Silence on Hot Tub Photo in Heated Deposition

In a political bombshell that has reignited public intrigue surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, former President Bill Clinton finally broke his silence on the now-infamous hot tub photograph. The image, which surfaced in the millions of pages released by the Department of Justice (DOJ), became the focal point of a high-stakes, closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee on Friday.

The testimony, which lasted for several hours, placed the 42nd president in the hot seat as lawmakers from both sides of the aisle sought answers about his decades-long relationship with the disgraced financier and convicted sex trafficker.

The Hot Tub Photo Explained

According to multiple sources granted anonymity to speak freely, Clinton was directly questioned about a specific photo appearing to show him relaxing in a hot tub alongside a woman whose identity has been redacted in the public files. The image has circulated widely online, sparking speculation and memes since its release.

Clinton’s response to the committee was direct and unequivocal. Sources confirmed to Fox News Digital that the former president stated he did not know who the woman in the image was and, perhaps more pointedly, that he did not have sex with her.

One source familiar with the deposition revealed that Clinton intimated the setting was not a private, salacious location, but rather a public hotel pool. Notably, the source added that no one on the committee pushed back or questioned this characterization of the event.

“I Did Nothing Wrong”: Clinton’s Opening Salvo

Before the questioning grew intense, Clinton read from a prepared opening statement designed to set the tone for the marathon session. He acknowledged the gravity of the situation but firmly denied any prior knowledge of Epstein’s heinous crimes.

“Now, let me say what you’re going to hear from me. First, I had no idea of the crimes Epstein was committing,” Clinton told lawmakers. “No matter how many photos you show me, I have two things that, at the end of the day, matter more than your interpretation of those 20-year-old photos. I know what I saw and more importantly, what I didn’t see. I know what I did and more importantly, what I didn’t do. I saw nothing and I did nothing wrong.”

Clinton also prefaced his answers by warning the committee that they would often hear him say, “I don’t recall,” attributing this to the passage of time and his commitment to not speculating under oath.

Comer’s Case: Flights, Foundations, and Unanswered Questions

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) made it clear that the GOP had an abundance of questions, pointing to documentary evidence linking Clinton to Epstein. Comer highlighted that Epstein visited the White House 17 times during Clinton’s presidency and that Clinton flew on Epstein’s infamous “Lolita Express” at least 27 times.

However, Clinton pushed back against the implication of these logistics. In his testimony, he argued that had he known about the illicit activities occurring on the aircraft, he would have been the first to seek justice.

“As someone who grew up in a home with domestic abuse, not only would I not have flown on his plane if I had any inkling of what he was doing — I would have turned him in myself and led the call for justice for his crimes, not sweetheart deals,” Clinton asserted.

Comer also noted that his list of questions grew significantly following the testimony of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the previous day. He claimed that Hillary deferred questions regarding the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative to her husband, stating she was focused on her Senate duties at the time.

Defending Hillary and Facing the Music

The former president took a moment to defend his wife, who endured her own roughly six-hour deposition on Thursday. He told the committee that she “had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein,” adding that subpoenaing her was “simply not right.”

The testimony comes amid a bipartisan investigation into Epstein’s network. While neither Clinton has been accused of any crimes related to the Epstein case, the appearance of the former president’s name in thousands of pages of documents has necessitated this political reckoning.

Even President Donald Trump weighed in on the spectacle Friday, telling reporters, “I don’t like seeing him deposed.”

The deposition, which began shortly after 11 a.m., is being transcribed. A video recording of the session is expected to be released to the public within a week, which will likely fuel further analysis of the Clinton Epstein connection. For now, the world is left to interpret a 20-year-old photo and the sworn testimony of a former president who insists he knew nothing.
