HSC Standard A Day Laborer Paragraph
Labor makes everything possible. Without it, nothing gets done or achieved. A day laborer is someone who has no land of his own and earns his bread through hard work. He might work as a sweeper, blacksmith, mason, carpenter, goldsmith, farmer, or porter. His work is essential for the country. Still, a day laborer remains very poor. He lives from hand to mouth with no fixed income. If he works daily, he earns wages. During rainy days, he finds no work and has to starve along with his family. He can hardly buy clothes or fancy things.
He works in factories, ships, mines, agricultural fields, and even in games and sports for the country’s prosperity. He builds houses and skyscrapers, but he himself lives in slums. He sets railway lines and builds highways. He brings minerals from deep within the earth. Thus, he does many kinds of work to earn his living. Though he works hard all day long, he lives in misery and want.
So, we should all try our best to improve the lives of these day laborers. If we show sympathy to them, they will benefit.
